Dementia Respite Care
Are you caring for someone with dementia?
Do you sometimes feel tired or overwhelmed?
Why Respite Care
Caring is a challenging role and everyone needs a break from time to time. It’s important to take time out for YOU: to meet a friend, go for a walk or a swim, take care of your own health needs or maybe simply lie down and rest.
What I Offer
I seek to build a relationship with my clients who live with dementia, getting to know them, their likes and dislikes, and their personal needs, so that we spend our time as happily and constructively as possible. Activities include:
outings gentle conversation meals walks games music gardening crafts companionship reminisence
About Me
I am qualified in person-centered dementia care and have worked in people’s homes and in a day care center. "Karen's time with us has made such a difference for us both. My husband laughs and talks a lot and is interested in what is going on around him. I feel happy to leave him, knowing he is in safe hands."
